Good Trailer

The Task

We were contacted by Good RV, a trailer manufacturing company, who reached out to us to create 3D renderings for their new line of cargo trailers. At the time of contact, 3D CAD files were just being finalized and the plan was to produce renderings showcasing their various trailer sizes and highlighting specific features for use on the web and in their catalog. 3D rendering enabled us to help them get a jump start on their markering material before a fully assembled propduct was even manufactured.

Good Trailer 3D Renderings

The first phase of production centered around still renderings from various and angles compositions across multiple trailer lengths. To produce these designs, we were provided with 3D CAD files from the engineers. Since reference was minimal, we reviewed these designs thoroughly with the client to ensure all components were included and while the CAD files were in good shape for the most part, we did have to do some custom 3D modeling to flesh out a few areas that lacked sufficient detail.

Once the 3D models were prepped and fully textured, we based our shot direction on preliminary mock-up images which proved very helpful in conveying the features that were most important to highlight. This also included visualizing exploded views and various rear end door configurations.

In addition to the stills, we also helped produce the following 3D animation showcasing their unique hydraulic dropdown system.

Good Module 3D Animation

After we completed our renderings and animation for Good Trailer, we got the opportunity to develop another 3D animation for Good RV's next product Good Module, a portable and modular building structure. The goal of this animation was to showcase not just the modularity of the design, but also the customization of it and how it could service multiple industries.

Like before, 3D CAD files for the base structure were provided and several conversations took place between our creative team and the folks at Good RV to make sure we properly understood how the modularity worked and what their vision was for the interior aesthetics. We produced the following 30 second 3D animation to showcase everything from the initial set up of one unit, to the modularity expansion, and finally to the endless interior possibilities.
