The challenge

The Omoko diffuser has a deceptively simple form, making precision especially important. With two sizes and four distinct finishes, every subtle variation in shape, texture, and lighting needed to feel intentional and consistent across the collection.

The Sand Dune finish presented an additional challenge, with a distinctive textured surface that wasn't readily available as a standard material. Recreating its subtle variation convincingly was essential to maintaining the refined aesthetic of the product.

Our approach

Usable 3D CAD files provided the foundation for the two diffuser models, while a physical Travel diffuser supplied additional reference for proportions, materials, and construction. We applied the supplied pad-print graphics and developed the four finishes, using consistent lighting and camera direction across the collection while adapting the setup to each material.

The Sand Dune finish required a custom texture created from scratch to reproduce its distinctive surface pattern and subtle variation. The final setup covered both Home and Travel models in four colorways, with front, back, tilted, and exploded views showing the diffuser oil bottle inside.

Minimalist products leave very little room for visual imperfections. With relatively simple and symmetrical forms, subtle issues in proportions, edge definition, texture, or lighting can become immediately noticeable. The goal was to create imagery that felt effortless while maintaining the level of precision expected from Monos.

The finished collection gave Monos a consistent set of product visuals across both diffuser sizes, with multiple angles providing a closer look at the design and internal components. This first project established the foundation for our ongoing collaboration with Monos, which later expanded into the larger Omoko sunglasses project.
