Before the first trailer was even manufactured, 3D rendering gave Good RV a head start on marketing its new line of cargo trailers.

The challenge
Good RV was preparing to launch a new line of cargo trailers while the 3D CAD files were still being finalized. They needed marketing imagery that could showcase multiple trailer sizes and configurations, highlight specific features, and support their website and catalog before fully assembled products were available.
The project also included several more technical views, including exploded configurations and different rear door arrangements, requiring the 3D assets to accurately represent the various options and components.
Our approach
Working from the engineers' CAD files, we reviewed the designs closely with Good RV to identify areas that needed additional modeling and detail. Once the models were prepared and textured, preliminary mockups supplied by the client helped establish the camera angles and compositions, particularly for the features they wanted to emphasize.
The resulting 3D assets were used to create a range of trailer lengths, configurations, and feature-focused views, including exploded views and different rear door setups. We also developed an animation demonstrating the trailer's hydraulic dropdown system, bringing one of its key functional features to life.

The project demonstrated how 3D visualization can help a product enter the market before traditional photography is even possible. By working from the CAD designs, Good RV was able to begin building its marketing materials while the trailers were still in development, giving the company a head start on presenting the new product line.
The relationship later expanded beyond the original trailer project when Good RV introduced the Good Module, a portable modular building system. We created a 30-second 3D animation to demonstrate how a single unit could be assembled, expanded into larger configurations, and customized for different applications and interior layouts.
