The challenge

Bare Performance Nutrition needed a consistent collection of eCommerce imagery for its growing lineup of products. The initial project included 178 images across 66 SKUs, with the gel packs requiring imagery for individual products, multi-pack boxes, and variety boxes containing multiple flavors.

Each format needed to maintain the same clean visual style while accurately representing the different packaging, label artwork, and product combinations.

Our approach

Using physical samples and supplied label artwork, we recreated the gel packs and their packaging in 3D, paying close attention to the proportions, flexible packaging, printed graphics, and subtle material characteristics. The individual packs were then used as the foundation for building the various box and variety-pack configurations.

The 3D workflow made it possible to create consistent compositions across the different SKUs while easily changing flavors and package combinations. This allowed individual gels, multi-packs, and variety boxes to share the same visual language across the eCommerce collection.

With multiple flavors and packaging configurations, creating the gel pack imagery in 3D provided a level of control that would be difficult to maintain through traditional photography. Individual flavors could be updated or combined into new configurations while keeping the lighting, perspective, and overall presentation consistent.

The resulting images gave Bare Performance Nutrition a flexible library of product visuals that could evolve as new flavors, packaging, and variety packs were introduced.
