The challenge
After successfully creating a series of still renderings for GoTrax's G4 Electric Scooter, the next challenge was to translate the product into a cinematic 3D animation. The goal was to showcase the scooter's design while using motion to highlight key features including its speed, built-in locking mechanism, and portability.
Our approach
The 3D model and materials had already been developed for the still renderings, allowing us to focus on preparing the scooter for animation. The kickstand, tiller, throttle, and locking mechanism were rigged so each could move independently. We then developed a simple industrial environment around the scooter, using tall, minimalist architectural forms and dramatic lighting to create a cinematic atmosphere without distracting from the product.
The animation was structured around a series of shots, each designed to highlight a specific aspect of the scooter. The ethereal, futuristic quality of the music helped shape the visual direction of the environment, leading to minimalist architectural forms, ominous lighting, and atmospheric effects that created a subtle sci-fi feel. Camera movement and product animation were then timed to the music, while depth of field, lens effects, and animated environmental lighting helped build the overall mood.

The finished animation brings together product detail, feature-focused storytelling, and cinematic motion to present the G4 in a way that goes beyond traditional product imagery. Each shot was designed to reveal another aspect of the scooter while maintaining a cohesive visual rhythm from beginning to end.
Because the underlying 3D product asset was already developed for the still renderings, the project also demonstrates how a single digital product can be extended into different forms of content. The same asset became the foundation for a dynamic piece of product animation, creating new opportunities to showcase the G4 across marketing and promotional applications.
