In 2018 we were approached by the LifeAid Beverage Company who were seeking 3D product package renderings for their line of supplement drinks. They presented us with a very specific vision for their images. Not only were they seeking high quality/photo-realistic designs of their products, but they also wanted to include condensation elements as well.
Once initial discussions were complete, we began processing their 2D artwork files and converting those into 3D models of the package structure, in this case a 12oz skinny top aluminum can. Then we set out to establish the overall style for these renderings. Starting with the first product, we setup the materials, lighting, camera angle, and condensation all while communicating with the client until they were satisfied with the overall look and feel. Once approved, our workflow allowed us to apply the foundation that was established on the initial can rendering to the other sku's for both quicker and cheaper renderings on what we call "label modifications".
