After a successful launch of their hip implants, MicroPort Orthopedics reached back out to us to discuss the production of 3D product renderings for their Evolution Revision Construct Knee Implants. Once again, they were in need of high quality renderings for an upcoming product launch, but this time we were dealing with a far more complex medical implant. More components, more moving parts, and more total images were required.
One of the most challenging aspects of this project was ensuring that we captured the look of the materials and surfaces as accurately as possible. Details such as coarseness, fine scratches and imperfections, metallic speckles, etc. all went into consideration. And not only did these images have to hold up at an already demanding resolution of 3K, but some images were rendered at a 9K resolution further increasing the attention to detail.
All in all, the collaboration and resulting renderings was another huge success and we are happy to say that we can now talk somewhat intelligently about canal filling stems, tibial offset adapters, femoral components, and other medical implant jargon.
"...definitely be using them again for future product launches."
